Welcome "Living in the Names of God Bible Study"

​Alas – after a few very busy months – we have finally reached the end of another book project – Living in the Names of God Bible Study is joyfully complete! It was quite a journey! Judy Squier, the author (and my mom!) and I have worked together on two books previously: His Majesty in Brokenness and Living in the Names of God. As standard chapter books, they were both pretty straight forward and simple to lay out. So creating a Bible Study was a whole different creature for mom, me and her amazing editor Amy Mayfield.

Everything had to be approached differently. We had to carefully think through how we wanted to do all the basics: paragraph structure, headers, margins, artwork, and the overall structure of the book. We couldn’t just do paragraph text like other standard books – the content required extra room….breathing space for the reader to really interpret the questions and contemplate the answers. Beautiful artwork by Mia Moreing Russell at the intro of every chapter also required some extra breathing space. So with all this extra page space, the book quickly became long – much longer  than any of we had created and with this came a new set of obstacles. We worked through the obstacles though and 3 drafts later, I am very pleased with the final result!

This Bible Study is not for the faint of heart though. If you really want to push yourself and go deeper in your relationship with God, this book is for you! As a companion Bible Study to mom’s 2nd book, Living in the Names of God – my mom guides you further through 18 different Hebrew names of God and helps personalize each name to you so you can find strength for the journey of your own life.

I know this book will be a blessing to so many! I am very proud of my mom for following through and as she would say it – “writing the book God placed in her belly!”
