Visiting Hearst Castle

​Wow – this summer has been a whirlwind! I can’t believe it’s already over and Fall is already here! I want to share photos from one of my summer highlights: Hearst Castle. This year for my husband and my wedding anniversary, we took a road trip down to Pismo Beach to go ATV riding to fulfill his heart’s desire. On the way back, we stopped at Hearst Castle in San Simeon (to fulfill my heart’s desire) and what fun we had! I LOVED every minute of or visit! It felt like a photographer’s paradise – such a gorgeous destination! Perched on top of a hill with a ocean backdrop, this castle is quite a treasure. Here are some of my favorite photos from our visit.

If you are ever in the San Simeon area, Hearst Castle is definitely worth a visit (learn more here: http://www.hearstcastle.org/). We did the Grand Rooms tour but if there had been more time, I would have loved to see everything. And maybe one day, we’ll make it back for the Evening Tour. As much as I loved exploring the grounds by day, I know there would be an extraordinary magic at night. What a special treat this was to experience! I hope you enjoy my photos!
