PBC Names of God Art Show

Last weekend, I had the opportunity of attending Peninsula Bible Church’s Name of God Art Show. I used to attend this church when I was younger, but it’s been some time since I’d been there. I felt a little out of touch with everything and had no idea what to expect with the show but thankfully I was in for a grand treat!

Peninsula Bible Church Cupertino does this amazing thing called Art in the Auditorium. For each series of messages, they invite artists to submit work based on the series theme which if accepted would then be displayed on the walls within the church auditorium. I absolutely love this concept!!! It really gives the artists within the community a purpose in creating their art and an audience for which their artwork can be enjoyed! What a novel concept!!!!

Their new series theme is centered on the Names of God which both my mom, Judy Squier, and I now know a LOT about after completing her recent book Living in the Names of God & the Companion Bible Study (View my mom’s books here). So it only made sense for me to submit the cover design of the two books for the show and be one of the lucky artists who had a piece on display!

While at the reception, I had the opportunity to meet many of the artists! There were so many people with so many amazing talents and such great hearts! It really was inspiring!!!! I also learned PBC has an active artist’s group that meets monthly on Wednesdays and is open to all artists. I’m definitely tempted to come check this out. I was very happy to be a part of the show and very much in awe of many pieces in the show!
