This has been quite an exciting month for my family and me! After a long wait and much hard work, my mom Judy Squier’s newest book “Living in the Names of God: His Majesty and Me” is now available. What an accomplishment!!! After writing her first book “His Majesty in Brokenness“ in 2010, Mom went back to work researching, planning, and writing this book about the different names of God. In an effort to help move the book forward, she volunteered at her church to lead a weekly Bible Study for 18 of God’s Hebrew names. Move forward the book, it did! Just weeks after she was done leading her study, she had the basic draft of the book done. That was when I joined in on the project as we began to develop the book’s cover, design, and final layout. Writing a book is not for the faint of heart. Mom really had to dedicate hours upon hours, days upon days to write, finalize the chapters as well as the ‘what about you’ sections, gather photos, edit, re-edit, work with me to determine the cover and layout, and then proof, proof, and final proof. I would not be surprised if my mom read the 191 page book from front cover to back cover over 20 times in the last month. But that is what is necessary to create such a masterpiece. And the hard work has finally paid off! It is a joy and honor for me to be able to work with Mom and help her achieve her lifetime dream of writing and sharing God’s work in her life. Being born without complete legs, she has a story to tell. But the truly amazing thing is that my mom’s stories are not so much about her or her disability, but they are about God’s glory. When asked whose sin caused a man to become blind in John 9:2, Jesus says: “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.” I know that my mom’s disability has enabled us to see God in mighty ways and I stand in awe of how God has shown up and faithfully carried her through life. Without further ado, I would like to share my mom, Judy Squier’s new book “Living in the Names of God: His Majesty and Me.” It is available on her website www.judysquier.com and Amazon. It will also be available on Kindle soon. Book Description: Judy, born without legs, considered herself an Average Joe Christian until an accident knocked her off of her feet. El Shaddai, the All-Powerful God, and others of His Hebrew names, answered her SOS cry. So began a life-transforming love relationship with the God who longs to be our All in All. True life begins when human need sends out an SOS and the human heart says yes to God’s offer: “I’m here for you. I promise to bring you through. May I?”
